The Problem We Solve

Built for Projects That Need to Move Fast.

Large-scale data center construction requires skilled crews housed close to the build site — often in locations where traditional housing doesn't exist.

Standard man camps take up to 180 days to stand up and leave you with a sunk cost when the project ends with not being able to move these. Boma builds modular container villages that deploy in 100 days, relocate when the project wraps, and scale to fit your headcount.

We've built at scale before. Our background in high-volume container production — and our experience operating our own properties — means we understand what it takes to build something people actually want to live in, not just sleep in.

Why Container Housing Works Here

The right tool for remote, fast-moving builds.

01

Faster Timelines

Units are manufactured off-site and delivered ready for placement. This cuts months off setup and limits delays caused by weather or on-site labor shortages.

02

Relocatable

The entire village moves to your next build when this one wraps. No sunk cost, no abandoned infrastructure, RV style utilites — the asset follows your pipeline.

03

Crew Retention

Private rooms, functional spaces, real finishes, and quality common areas reduce turnover on long remote projects. Better living conditions keep your schedule intact.

04

Off-Grid Ready

Solar-compatible, RV hookups, onboard water storage — off-grid capability is standard, not a special order. Built for remote sites from day one.

05

Scalable by Design

Start with a multi-unit village and expand in identical modules as headcount grows. Each unit is part of a repeatable system — no redesign required.

06

Controlled Costs

Standardized units create predictable pricing. Much of the build is completed before it reaches your site, reducing on-site labor and coordination overhead.

Boma has been involved in 100+ unit container developments, including manufacturing and fabrication for 83 Freight's apartment project now known as The Byrum.

That experience — coordinating high-volume production, maintaining consistency across hundreds of structures, managing logistics and delivery sequencing — translates directly to workforce housing at scale.

We also operate our own short-term rental properties. We know what holds up under daily use and what doesn't. That operator perspective is built into everything we design.

Base Camp by Boma

The Unit Lineup.

Bunkhouse Pro

40ft · 2 Private Rooms · 1 Bath

The core crew retention unit. Two private single-occupancy rooms per container — not bunk-style. The highest-impact upgrade you can make for keeping a crew on-site through a long build.

Tech Specialist Suite

40ft · 1 Bed · 1 Bath

Full private unit for engineers, skilled trades, and IT staff. Kitchenette, living area, full bath. Designed for the crew members you really can't afford to lose.

Supervisor Suite

2-Container · 2 Bed · 2 Bath

For foremen and project managers. Split-container layout with private patio and flex meeting space. Built for people who need to work from the site, not just sleep there.

Site Manager Residence

3-Container · Full Home Layout

For long-tenure project leadership. A complete home-feel unit with full kitchen, living and dining area, and separate office space. Built for multi-year assignments.

Hub Container

Commercial Config · Multiple Modules

The campus core. Dining hall, fitness center, laundry, admin, and medical — each as a purpose-built module. Drop and connect. The infrastructure that makes everything else work.

From Scope to On-Site

How a Base Camp project works.

01

Site Assessment & Crew Count

We start with your site location, headcount, timeline, and utility access. This scopes the cluster layout and unit mix from the start.

02

Unit Layout & Cluster Design

We configure the campus around your crew structure — worker bunkhouses, specialist suites, supervisor units, and Hub modules sized to your headcount.

03

Production & Delivery Scheduling

Units are manufactured in a controlled environment and delivery is sequenced to match your site readiness and mobilization date.

04

Site Prep by Local Teams

Foundation, utility rough-in, and access roads are handled by your local contractor. We coordinate to make sure the pad is ready when units arrive.

05

Phased Delivery & Placement

Units arrive sequenced for placement. Phased delivery means you can open housing to the crew as units are commissioned rather than waiting for full completion.

06

Hookup & Commissioning

Utility connections, final fit-out, and walkthrough. Campus is operational and ready for crew move-in.

Projects can be phased to match your mobilization timeline and scaled as headcount grows. We act as a central point for the container scope — helping reduce fragmentation across suppliers and vendors.
