Consultation &
Project Review
We begin with a discovery call to review your site and zoning, model or custom layout, budget range, and utility and foundation requirements. You will receive model guidance, an estimated pricing range, and a projected timeline—no obligation and NDA available.
3D Design
Before production pricing is finalized, clients may proceed with a $400 3D Design and Video Walkthrough, which includes full interior and exterior renderings, layout visualization, and one revision round. This step confirms the final design before contract execution and is non-refundable, paid in advance.
Building Your Dream Home
Standard production is 100 days and begins after final 3D approval, contract execution, and receipt of the 40% deposit. Progress updates with photos and video are provided throughout fabrication and final prep.
Shipment and Delivery
We coordinate freight, insurance, and flatbed delivery to your site while you prepare for placement. A final walkthrough and acceptance are completed upon delivery.

FAQs
What makes Boma container homes better?
Boma Properties builds high-quality shipping container homes and container cabins designed for durability, comfort, and long-term use. Our homes combine thoughtful design with materials selected to perform in demanding environments.
Each Boma container home features reinforced steel framing and closed-cell spray foam insulation, creating a tight vapor barrier that improves energy efficiency and helps maintain comfortable interior temperatures year-round.
Instead of traditional drywall, we use recycled PVC wall panels, which are more resistant to cracking, moisture, and movement inside a steel structure. This makes Boma container homes especially well suited for remote land, hunting cabins, and all-season vacation properties.

Construction FAQs
Site Preparation Guidance (Buyer's Responsibility)
*The following guide is meant to be informational in nature. All site prep work, site access, foundation installation, utilities connections, permits, inspections and code compliance are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
If you have questions about what’s included with the home, how the drawings work, or anything else related to our scope, we’re here to help. Our goal is to make the process as straightforward as possible so you can focus on creating the home you’ve been dreaming of. Ready to get started? We’d love to walk you through the next steps!
What foundation is recommended for a container home?
Your container home can be installed on a variety of foundation types depending on your soil conditions, site slope, climate, and local codes.
Please note: Boma Properties does not construct foundations or provide stamped architectural or structural plans. We supply clear floor layouts, elevations, and plumbing/electrical drawings to support your builder. Any required stamped plans should be prepared by a licensed architect or engineer familiar with your area’s building codes.
For most projects, we recommend one of the following container home foundation options:
Stem Wall (Recommended)
A stem wall foundation provides the best overall performance. An optional insulated Fox Blocks foundation system helps protect plumbing from freezing while maintaining a clean, elevated appearance.
Sono-Tube Pier Foundation
A cost-effective solution using four to six reinforced concrete piers. This type of container home foundation works well for remote land and sites with minimal site preparation.
Concrete Slab
A slab foundation creates a flush, ground-level appearance with roughed-in plumbing. However, it does not provide a crawlspace and offers limited access for utilities.
What are the best options for water and sewage for a container home?
Your Boma container home arrives with standard water and sewage hookups already in place. During installation, these will be connected to your chosen water source and septic system by the client or a local licensed plumber to meet local codes.
Water Source Options:
Connecting to an existing water source on site
Most affordable and straightforward when infrastructure is already present.
Freshwater Tank or Cistern Watering System
Moderate upfront cost, flexible for rainwater collection or hauled water. Provides good storage capacity with proper filtration.
Install a new well
Higher initial investment but delivers the most reliable, long-term fresh water supply with minimal ongoing costs once established.
Sewage / Plumbing Options:
Connect to an existing source on site
Lowest cost when available.
Install a Septic Field (septic tank + soil absorption field)
More significant upfront cost but offers full independence with no monthly sewer bills; requires proper soil testing and periodic maintenance for best performance.
What are the best options for power and electricity for a container home?
Boma homes are delivered with electrical connections stubbed out and ready for final hookup by a licensed electrician.
Power Source Options
Connect to an existing on-site electrical source (grid):
Usually the most affordable initial setup when power is nearby; provides reliable service with ongoing utility bills.
Power Generator Package
Moderate cost, offers dependable backup power but involves ongoing fuel costs, noise, and regular maintenance.
Solar Package
Higher initial investment but provides clean, sustainable power with no monthly bills and true off-grid capability once installed.
