Why shipping containers?
Containers are adult building blocks that allow your creative spirit to take over. They are unique, affordable, easy to move, durable, and manufactured to be structurally sound ensuring everything inside stays safe and secure.
How do I get started?
Send us a message, and we'll guide you through the process! Our containers are fully customizable to meet your building needs, or you can select from our pre-designed options. We begin with basic layouts and then provide 3D renderings so you can see exactly how your custom home will look. Once you approve the design, we move into production. It’s a simple process—let’s get started!
How fast can you get me my container, and what does shipping cost?
Our average lead time from finalized design to delivery is around 100 days! Much faster than traditional builds or other manufacturers in this space.
Want more than one container? We can scale multiple builds simultaneously and deliver them within this period.
Shipping and delivery are included in your quote. What you see is what you get! We put an emphasis on trying to make the process as straight forward as possible and we do not tack on accessorial fees.

What makes our homes better?
Our designs feature beautiful aesthetics and high-end materials. We use steel framing and closed spray foam insulation to create a vapor barrier that ensures a comfortable environment while complying with building codes. We use recycled PVC paneling instead of drywall, as it is more resistant to cracking and water absorption in adverse conditions.
What do you suggest for the home's foundation?
There are three types of foundations we suggest our clients utilize. They are listed below in order of recommendation:
• Stem wall: optional Fox-Box, insulated foundation. Prevents pump freezing while still allowing access to plumbing. This gives you a consistent look. (best design)
• Sono-tube: 6 pillars or four reinforced pillars can set the container up. Most cost-effective option.
• Slab: Roughed in plumbing, so it looks like it is sitting flat on the ground. Best looking/least functioning. No crawlspace.
*Boma Properties does not build foundations or have the ability to stamp architectural plans as these are subject to local regulations/contractor certifications. We can provide layout, elevations, electrical, and plumbing. If you need stamped plans, you will need a licensed architect in your specific location.
Do you use recycled shipping containers?
We typically use new containers specifically built for our purposes, as they offer the highest level of structural integrity and durability for a lifetime. While we can use recycled containers for personal projects, we don't recommend them for commercial builds due to potential reliability concerns.
